Paul Glossop: Well welcome again guys to Pure Property Investment one on one. Today, I am here with Andrew Foo. Andrew is the principle of Apexx Wealth. Thanks for joining us Andrew.
Andrew Foo: Thanks for having me Paul.
Paul Glossop: Today we want to do, hopefully talk a little bit more say your role as the principle of Apexx Wealth which is a financial planning company and probably a little bit more specifically which I personally a bit of bias I think the financial planning industry in general doesn’t do a very good job of is speak about what a financial planner does and what their role is and probably hopefully giving our viewers a bit more understanding of the need and importance of a financial planner in certain circumstances and certain stages when you planning your wealth in to the future. So mate, if you don’t mind sharing with our viewers.
Andrew Foo: Yes. So, the role of a financial planner is to really listen to clients. I mean that’s the key underlying factor. Our job is to build and protect wealth. So that will include things such as finding out what the clients are after, what their objectives are, what their financial and lifestyle goals are. And then we look at their entire financial situation you know super, insurance you know investments you know what type of take home pay they bringing through you know cash flow analysis and alike. So, when we look at that we form a picture of what their situation is and then from there we determine where the gaps are and we try to help fill those gaps. You know identify the clients you know, how they can achieve their goals, what their risks are and we based a plan around that. We basically look after your lifestyle.
Paul Glossop: Yes, and you kind of hope for the kind of people who enable it to a degree as well, both now but also in the future. I think there’s some key things from your end there that I know that I take home a lot of the time when we do talk about mutual clients, is the fact that I think financial planners in general aren’t for the super wealthy nor are they for people who are looking at a plan to retirement within the last five years of their working career.
They can be fitting into a lot of different people’s positions whether it be like you said it’s simple things as cash flow analysis and budgeting all the way through to succession planning, self-manage super portfolios, insurances making sure they protecting their wealth position in general wealth as well so it’s kind of everything in between. It’s probably a little bit too much to articulate in a quick little segment like this.
But I think the best way forward for anyone who does want to reach out to a financial planner to at least engage a quick conversation to talk about like you said what your position is and how you might be able to help them achieve those goals and protect their current asset base. The best way is contact Andrew and his team, at the number below.
